It is now clear Design and Build firm scan benefit from a mobile digital site diary application.

Khaldon Evans, Script&Go’s International Marketing Manager for Site Diary, invited Darren Lindley to answer a few questions on DSL Design & Build’s use of a site diary application. Highlights from this interview are reported here.

Darren explained that as owner and director of DSL Design & Build carries out day to day duties of building sites and managing clients.

He went on to say that DSL Design & Build has successfully used the Site Diary app powered by Script&Go for various projects including, 36 Fern St & 10 Swansea St Swanbourne WA.

He said he was looking for an application to save him from having to handwrite daily activities in a diary and explained that he purchased it for this reason and as initially it was free.

The reason Darren gave for us choosing Site Diary was due to this and the fact it was risk-free for him to try the solution.

He says that the benefits of using the Site Diary app centre on the fact it gives him:

  • “It saves me having daily activities in a diary. Days are a lot easier, go to each site type with just my smartphone and record all the contractors and labours.”
  • He is sent a weekly report that he can then put into a database.

Darren also mentioned it’s changing the way he works, as “it’s made me more efficient by not having to handwrite the daily activities in a diary.”

Also when asked the question “what is the one thing that you believe is missing from the current Site Diary that would make it truly the best diary for you and your team?” he replied “nothing – its fine as is.” However, he also said he” would entertain the idea of having a Gantt chart although that would cause the product to become more expensive so he probably won’t use it.”

Installable on a Windows PC and usable across multi-OS devices, tablets or smartphones, the Site Diary app can be for used by consultancy owners and their collaborators in the office or in the field as required.

For further details of the Site Diary app and the opportunity to trial it for yourself you can contact Script&Go.
